Han's Sudden Realization

Hilarious Illustrated Drunk Dial

Apparently this girl left a message on the wrong phone - resulting in this priceless video. It's also very funny to think that this dude Ryan intentionally gave this nutbag the wrong number.

New Video: Fleet Foxes "Grown Ocean"

Fucking joyous.

LCD Soundsystem @ Terminal 5

Here are the two photos I took at last night's incredible LCD show (only 4 more shows ever). I truly despise myself when whipping out the phone to take pics at a concert. Click for higher resolution.

Road Rash on Sega Genesis

If you were a childhood friend of mine, then you know this game well. This is how Friday nights in the playroom were spent (and how I spent most days after school). Many an hour were spent laughing our cheap heads off as we punched and kicked unsuspecting racers off their stupid bikes. Awesome, awesome game. Lotta nostalgia here. And fat bass.

Hilarious in retrospect - my brothers and I always thought videogame music was created by these pathetic, fat failed musicians playing actual instruments. Now I have the common sense to know this is just MIDI. Kind of wish the fat musician thing was true.

Kids Do The Darndest Things

From the 1992 classic, To Grandmother's House We Go.

Keepon Dancing to Spoon - "I Turn My Camera On"

1987 Diet Pepsi Commercial, Starring Michael J. Fox

Good find by Commander Alexander. I love how MJF's character is a lax player - he definitely knows how to sport some finely groomed flow. Also, that framed poster of the rocks at :20 is incredibly office-building-from-the-80's. I've definitely seen that picture hanging in some office of my childhood memory. And who is this lady? She just waltzes in like a creep who owns the place, all pimp-like with intimidation, demanding shit. Who does she think she is?? Finally, really sweet pad, Mikey - too bad it has to be in the same city as Blade Runner. My overall review of this ad: 100% NutraSweet.

A Take Away Show: Phoenix - "1901"

I love the newlyweds in this. All around just really feel-good.

Awkward Family Photos

Original Star Wars Trailer

Wow, the Star Wars trailer is scary and terrible (scary terrible!), and gives you absolutely no idea what the hell the film's about. Seriously, the music and voice-over are terrifying. Wait - did 50 Cent edit this?

Also, "somewhere in space, this may all be happening right now?" Really? Whatever happened to "a long, long time ago?" Get it straight Star Wars.

New Music: Fleet Foxes, "Battery Kinzie" (Radio Rip)

Yet another triumphant, bootstomping track from the forthcoming Helplessness Blues out May 3rd.

Fleet Foxes - Battery Kinzie by One Thirty BPM

QUALITY trailer right here. I love how there's no context, just a series of people being eaten by Dinoshark. I wish 50 Cent was the guy parasailing, I really do.

Fans of this blog/movie history may notice the Wilhelm Scream coming from the mangled surfer in the last shot.

Strange Days

Anyone else remember this 1995 teaser for Strange Days? I vividly recall that this was in theaters for like 6 months - literally every movie I saw had King Ralph mumbling some coked-up mumbo jumbo.

"I came here to see Johnny Mnemonic and I have to sit through this nonsense? Again?!" - 13 year-old me, complete with mushroom cut and budding acne.

Actually a pretty cool movie from what I recall...

Steven Seagal's Got a Bone to Pick With You!

So many stalks of celery were broken in sound editing rooms across LA during Seagal's reign in the early 90's (although, who knew Seagal pumped out so many quality films in the last few years?). I counted 4 movies he's been in with the word "Kill" in the title. On an unrelated note - check this at :36, Seagal doesn't run. He glides.

By the way, my guess was 330 bone breaks. I guess I overestimated what I thought was a great man...

And Yet Another Oscar Goes To...

Chris Klein, for his unforgettable work in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. But you already know this considering the movie took the world by storm in 2009. I actually feel kind of dumb posting something that literally everyone has already seen. But hey, great acting is worth watching twice (assuming you haven't seen this movie twice already, which most people have).

The Trip on BBC - Michael Caine Impressions

Right crackin' series on BBC that me mate Nick tol' me 'bout. As mentioned last week, British humour is my bag [baby]. Here, Steve Coogan and this other bloke Rob Brydon perform bloody hilarious spot-on impressions of Sir Michael Caine. You shan't be disappointed - it's the dogs bollocks. Long live the Queen....Latifah.

Dingus (Feat. B. Rock & Dr. J-Red)

I'm reposting this shit just because it's funny. This is a song my wife and I made one fine Saturday morning. Featuring us both on vocals:

Dingus by JED RED

Star Wars Remake

I'm a huge Star Wars and British comedy nerd, so I enjoy this type of geeky shit. I'm also a huge fan of explosions and people accidentally hurting themselves, so I'm a pretty complicated guy.

Indie Mario Brothers

This is a cool bumper for this year's SXSW Film Festival. Yeah, yeah - I know you're what you're saying, "I'm sick of this whole live-action-video-game thing." You know what I say to you? Shut yon face. I think this fake trailer's really great, and so should you:

Blackhog Day

Rebecca Black is the girl version of Justin Bieber (albeit less pretty). Her music is a slick symphony of wailing turds trapped in an endlessly flushing toilet. Bill Murray really captures the essence of what it's like to be stuck in this very private hell:

Your Ass is Glass

So this company Corning (which should be a sexual term) apparently rules at making specialty glass for a variety of technology-based products. They also rule at making sci-fi commercials (how Corning knows they'll be able to make glass for products that don't exist yet, I have no idea). Now I realize some people will see this and probably think "how sad, this family's trapped in an endless cycle of technology/distractions that further distance them from actual human interaction," when in reality our lives are already exactly like this. What this forward-thinking vision does is just make the day-to-day that much cooler. Anyway, this company will definitely partner with Skynet to make T1000's balls.

I Just Walked the Appalachian Trail

The Strokes on SNL

They killed it on Saturday night. I was surprised to read a couple bad reviews this morning, most citing how bored/awful they looked. So....the music sucked because the band looked bored? How dare The Strokes look bored and cool! Literally nothing in their music is about being bored. Not one lyric.

You know who didn't look bored this season on SNL? Diddy-Dirty fucking Money, Bruno "The Bung Crease" Mars, or Nicki "I am Simply Terrible" Minaj. I wish The Strokes sounded more like all of them. Those are all really great bands because they not only have lots of enthusiasm, but they're music is also like, really good.

No one will ever be happy about anything ever again.

Yo Jabba Jabba!

Remember the troll who sat near me at work? Well she moved. Via forklift. I was actually sad, since I never got the time to showcase the beauty of her voice to you. Today, however, is my lucky day. She returned this afternoon to grace a fellow cubemate with her larger-than-life presence. I caught it on my iPhone. I will say this is actually the tamest I've ever heard her, she's being very quiet - perhaps her new corner of the office has tampered the beast within?

Tons of cheap background office noises.
