Lethal Weapon OST

Justice, "Civilization"

Baby Firearm, Please

This is an infomercial for a baby food pureeing machine slowed down to a terrifying degree. I love granny party animal and the asian woman who is absolutely floored by the stupid smiley faces painted on the bottle. I also enjoy the "missing since..." and steps for making the baby bullet at the end.

It's a Wrap...Sure!

Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 8 Trailer)

Your Pulse Will Race

Know who's pulses are not racing at all these days? Every one of these dogs. Also, how exactly is any of this "uncontrolled action?"

Two-Man Kickflip

Here's an unearthed 2004 clip featuring my real and pseudo-brothers (Dave and Alex, who are left and right, respectively). From Alex's blog GVM. Love the Weezer cutoff and "80's high five" at the end.

This is a really aggressive metaphor for the destruction of one's soul on a rainy Monday morning. Anyway, put the bunny back in the box.

The Mattress Men

DVD extra from Punch Drunk Love. Philip Seymour Hoffman is one hell of a committed actor.

Just found this, which appears to be the original (as P.S. Hoffman copies him verbatim). Why is he playing guitar? What does that have to do with anything that happens in this horribly planned advertisement?? I am crying laughing right now. Like, uncontrollable laughter.

Art Thou Dead?!

RIP Macho Man Randy Savage. In his honor, here is one of my all-time favorite commercials.

Ratatat, "Drugs"

Hot Chip, "I Feel Better"

Classic, awesome video. I wonder if the dancers hired to play the boy band are even aware that this video is actually making fun of their real selves just as much as their fake boy band alter egos. Probably not.

Avoid Gym Equipment Used by Arnold

I did not expect Arnold to go where he goes about halfway in on this clip after he describes "the pump," but I'm really glad he did.

Top That!

Inexplicable clip from 1989's Teen Witch. Never heard of it? Check AFI's Top 100.

Chris Klein is a Great Actor

This is one of the lost posts from last Thursday that disappeared when Blogger went down. It's just too good not to post again.

This audition tape from Mamma Mia! made the rounds last year. Unfortunately, NBC Universal has pulled down all YouTube videos of this masterclass in acting. The only video I could find of this brilliant audition was on College Humor, which makes it appear that this is a fake audition. It is not fake, my friends, it is not. Chris Klein is just that great of an actor.

I'll Take Drunk for $1000

CLASSIC drunken Jeopardy montage - Trebek is just cruising through beers while filming a telethon. I have to believe this is where Will Ferrell found inspiration for Ron Burgundy.

New Music: Bon Iver "Calgary"

Really gorgeous tune about a really silly-looking place

Final Shuttle Launch From an Airplane Window

Post title sounds like a song by Primitive Radio Gods (loving the 90's today...). So this is the space shuttle Endeavour lifting off from Kennedy Space Center on its final mission to the International Space Station (click for higher resolution). It looks like earth just sprouted its first pubic hair.

Weekend: The Squeakquel

Because I care.

Blogger was fucked today and I lost some shit posted on Wednesday and Thursday. No idea why this happened, but hopefully we can pick up with our regularly scheduled program on Monday. In the nasal voice of Police Academy's Captain Harris: "BlogGER!"

Righteous Scream

You already have to be the laziest sound editor on earth to put this scream in any movie, but to attribute to a character who gets shot point blank in the head? Genius.

This is just one scream of many.

Also, Robert De Niro: oy.

Vin Diesel is a Natural Performer

Check dis fresh breakdancing vid of Vin Diesel circa '86 (he was then known as the super-average Mark Sinclair). This almost makes me feel better about Fast Five making 80 fucking million dollars last weekend...almost.

Song for America

Should have posted this yesterday during my America-themed extravaganza, but whatever. Also seems weird to post on Stinko Day Mayonnaise, but y'know what? Life. That's what. Anyway, this is a sweet song no matter the time of year. Get Destroyer's Kaputt - it's a fantastic album from start to finish. Sultry like a hot Mexican night.

Life's a Peach and Then You Die

What's more American than drunk Goldblum talking about peaches?

Bush League

Victory Lap

This guy's celebration delivers the exact opposite effect on me than what he intends. Had he been a part of the raid he surely would have accidentally killed all the other Navy SEALs before even coming close to hitting Osama. This is the guy that gives America a great name all over the world.
