Seth Wescott, Sugarloafer/2x Olympic Gold Medalist/Impossibly Good Guy, gets warm and fuzzy talking big mountain shredding. As you can see, he's repping Maine pretty hard - the hat and the Team 8 shirt (T8 is the custom snowboard company started by my buddy/fellow Loafer, Greg).

Yes that is Danny Masterson. Let's all assume his character grew up to be a mass-murderer (how could you not with a movie-star-slick but demented grandfather like that? I'm thinking there's a Dexter Morgan & his dad relationship going on here...)

Shortly after Monty Python's Life of Brian was released in 1979 (Python's best film), MP members John Cleese and Michael Palin (personal favorite member) engaged in a what would become an infamous debate on the BBC2 discussion programme Friday Night, Saturday Morning, in which Malcolm Muggeridge and Mervyn Stockwood, the Bishop of Southwark, put the case against the film.
Muggeridge and the Bishop had arrived 15 minutes late to see a screening of the picture prior to the debate, missing the establishing scenes which demonstrated that Brian and Jesus were two different characters, and hence contended that it was a send-up of Christ himself.
Both Pythons later felt that there had been a strange role reversal in the manner of the debate, with two young upstart comedians attempting to make serious, well-researched points, while the establishment figures engaged in cheap jibes and point scoring.

Classic B&B. I'm psyched. There's really no difference between this and the early 90's - while they're not mocking music videos (and they may well still do that), they are still mocking MTV. Awesome.

Here's Beavis and Butthead watching Godley and Creme's video for their 80's classic, "Cry." I covered this same song in an earlier post where I talked about Gayngs' cover of the same song/video. This is exactly like Inception, except instead of dreams, it's blog posts about a relatively obscure 80's song and it's equally obscure cover. So it's pretty much the same thing as the movie.

So here's a screenshot of "actor" Xan Spencer's website. Notice one of my tweets making fun of him appears in his Twitter feed (click to enlahhhhge). I'm famous! Anyway, check out his unintentionally silly site here.

I urge you all to watch this hilariously good 2007 documentary, King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. A classic good vs. evil tale. Billy Mitchell, with the black jeans, thin beard and straight-flowing hair, is truly something to behold.

OK, so I've mentioned a certain sound effect from movies/TV/everything to countless people, trying in vain to imitate vocally, and half the time, people don't seem to have any clue what I'm talking about. They sometimes just nod, half-smiling and faintly confused. Alas! I have found the ubiquitous sound effect (click here). I have searched far and wide for a video compilation of this sound but I have found nothing. Honestly, I think nothing's turned up because a compilation of this stock sound used in everything from commercials to movies to videogames would result in an epic 6-hour film. This shit is seriously in every single movie trailer I've ever seen. The record scratch, the "Ychheeeerrghh," and Wilhelm Scream got nothin' on this thing.
